Doyles players parlay Killarney League win into €8900 score
Doyles’ Friday night Killarney League generated 5 tickets for the Irish Poker Tour’s Killarney Festival Main Event. Finishing top of the league was Tomas Healy which meant he automatically won his €700 seat. The remaining top 24 battled it out for 4 tickets - the top 8 playing for 2 tickets, and the next 16 playing for 2 tickets. Pat Fitz, Sammy Zheng, Wayne O’Byrne and David ‘Panda’ Fitzpatrick emerged victorious and sealed their passage to Killarney.
Both Tomas Healy and Wayne O’Byrne would go on to have very deep runs in the main event with Tomas finishing 29th for a score of €3700 and Wayne finishing 17th for a whopping €5200. Other Doyles regulars with deep runs included Brian Slattery (22nd) and Simon Keating (42nd).
Plenty of success was experienced in the side events also with Tony Harte finishing 3rd in the Monsterstack, Tarka Roche finishing 5th in the Omaha Championship, Jamie Flynn finishing 1st in the 300 Omaha, and John Enright finishing 3rd in the 300 Omaha.
